The Body in the Trunk
Location: The farm and store at Utah Natural Meats
Opening scene: two girls pulling in to Utah Natural Meats Farm driveway off 5600 West, wait in turn lane, talking while police cars and Redman Movies van pass going north.
They drive down the lane and pause to admire horses and view.
They drive around and see the chickens, goats, calves. They are taking photographs/video and commenting
Scene Two:
They park and walk toward the store.
They see a man open the trunk and pull a bag out and as he closes the trunk/tailgate? they see a body, maybe even snap a photo.
Man goes into store.
They follow the man into the store and around the store as he looks at different things, and then he goes into the bathroom.
They see the man go into the bathroom with the bag.
The girls then go up and start whispering vehemently to the clerks.
They insist that they saw a body in the trunk and ask the store clerk very urgently to call the police, clerk calls the owner who is giving tours to a group of home schoolers. Randy (the owner) comes in, listens and calls the police.
While the girls are talking with the clerk and owner, there are customers, busy picking up milk and other products. Can do quick scan of product placement.
Scene Three:
Police sirens are heard in the distance, while the cutomers and clerks hustle out, leaving only the owner guarding the bathroom.
[Optional: owner makes a citizen's arrest, ordering the person in the bathroom to not come out, "You are under arrest" etc.]
Police are told to come in without sirens, suspect is in the bathroom.
A police barrier is quickly set up and customers and students hereded behind the line.
Girls explain to the police what they saw and point to the car.
Plice set up drape system shielding the car from view.
Two officers have gone into the store and order man to come out of the bathroom. and have handcuffs ready, one with hand on holster.
Police open the trunk,, uncover Oscar, and laugh.
They call in to officers and tell them to stand down, "we have a 2940" all clear.
Everyone in the crowd is waiting, they hear laughter faintly and wonder what the heck is going on.
Police either hold up the pieces or quickly put Oscar together and pull back the curtain with a flourish.
Everyone laughs and the police take a bow.
Scene Four:
Back inside the police are asking Jim what the heck is he wearing. He explains that his outfit is his PALS and that he is headed to PrepperCon to teach people how to survive in the arctic without fire or shelter, just like he and his father did back in 1970(?)
They go outside, where the police are wrapping up, getting in their cars, and leaving, the kids are surrounding Jim and Oscar, and enjoying milk and cookies. Fade out, "so much for the Body in the Trunk..."
Customers come back in and shop.
Brief scene of a milk purchase with a silver dollar, dialog how many gallons can I buy with a dollar? Regular store milk, about eight, but ours, two.
Harvestright spot, a few seconds.
Flash to Kids at the Fodder tanks listening to Randy explain, girls grab handfulls of sprouts and walk over to feed horses.
Product placement possibilities/support: car, Preppercon, Instove (cooking the meal for the group), Captains Table on the shelves, electric bikes, wind/solar generator, chimney cover(?), books, dvds, ???
